Antalya is last decades known as the Capital of Turkish Tourism. Abundance of Sea sun and beach made it one of the most known places of Turkey for forign tourists. Antalya is also rich in its history of antique and byzantine period. But also is an important for the history of the Turkey. After conquest by The Saljuqids it it was the end and starting point of the caravan routes from the emditeraanean to the Black Sea and as a main port of the Saljuqids in the meditearranean.
This book contains 112 Inscriptions (65 from the Saljuqs and 47 from teh ottoman period) from Antalyas capture by the Saljuqs in 1216 until the beginnings of 20th. century. The earliest inscriptions are form the year 1216 and the altest from the year 1919. 700 years history of Antalya is overspan by the inscriptions.
All inscriptions are accompanied by their deciphering, translation into Turkish fotos and accompanying calrifications and commentary.
The book reconstructs the old walls of Antalya and is also to be used as an historical guide to the city of Antalya.
